How do you like your coffee?
In 2019, your hosts the Carrenos experienced a momentous coffee-tasting in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. One coffee roast was prepared in various ways from french press to pour-over and the difference in flavor from method to method was remarkable. With this new-found appreciation for coffee-making, the Carrenos have outfitted Fredica with the following: Nespresso espresso machine, Breville drip coffee maker, stovetop espresso maker, Chemex pour-over, Bodum french press, milk frother, and electric tea kettle.

These days Fredericksburg’s Main Street and surrounding areas are often bustling even into the evenings. If you are looking for quiet mornings and peaceful nights, Fredica is ideally situated an easy distance from the offerings of town. In the country you will find the stars a bit brighter and the sounds of nature more prominent.
Meet Your Hosts
A couple decades ago, Fredica became the first home of the newly-wed Carrenos. They quickly made the rental into a loving home and over the years filled the space with lasting memories. Eventually, through hard work and the generosity of their kind landlord, Velia and Al were able to purchase the home and the surrounding land. The couple and their daughter moved into a larger house next door, but the little house continued to have a place in their hearts. In 2020, they made the decision to renovate the building from top to bottom, turning it into a place to welcome guests searching for rest and relaxation. A family heritage of hospitality and inspirational world travel have shaped the experience the Carrenos have thoughtfully prepared for their guests.
